Creating an Object Type

Create object types to create more specialised objects from the base types. The new sub-types will inherit the properties of their parent object type, and can also be given properties, attributes, roles and relationships of their own.

To create an object type:

  1. In the Object Types module, select the parent object type of the new object type.
  2. Click Add to create a new object type as a sub-type of the selected object type.
  3. Enter these details.

    Note

When you save the object type, you will not be able to modify properties unless they are marked in the table as modifiable.
