Filtering objects by attribute values

The Find Values tool in the Multi-Value Editor tab allows you to restrict the loaded objects by the value of any attribute, not just the attribute whose value you want to load.

Use this for multi-value editing, or to create an import table for importing attribute values.

To filter by attribute value:

  1. On the Attribute Editor > Multi-Value Editor tab, click Find Values to open the Object Finder.
  2. Select the Object Type, and the Attribute Type that you want to edit.
  3. Select Limit by Value to filter by attribute value.
  4. Select the attribute type to filter by, or select Same as above to filter by the same attribute that you want to edit.
  5. Choose how the attribute values will be used in the selection process:
    • Select Equals and set an attribute Value to find all objects with the attribute set to that value
    • Select Is Not Set to find only objects where the chosen attribute is not set to any value.
  6. Select the area or group to which the objects belong.
  7. Click Find to find and load the objects.
