Site Operating Alarm Parameter
Use the Site Operating Alarm - Order Alarm Limit parameter (256) for a site type to disable site operating alarms or change the default wait period before an alarm is triggered.
-
The parameter value is the wait time in minutes.
-
A value of zero will disable the site operating alarms for this type of site.
Note
You must restart the TCC Service before any changes take effect.
What is a Site Operating Alarm?
A Site Operating Alarm is raised when the current flow at a site doesn't match the ordered flow. The type of alarm raised may be:
-
SHOULD BE OPERATING
-
SHOULD NOT BE OPERATING
-
FLOW ABOVE/BELOW DEMAND
There is a wait time between detecting the condition and raising the alarm. The default wait time is set in the TCCSERV configuration file and typically cannot be changed.
Why change the wait time for a site type?
This parameter override is useful for metering sites which cannot be polled from the host. These sites are typically configured to transmit data to the host at specified intervals. If this interval is longer than the default wait time, then false site operating alarms might be raised for a short period of time until the remote site reports its current flow back into the host.
