Gate Status

Field Description Tag

Gate Encoder Integrity Error

IIndicates whether the encoder that is used to calculate the gate position is operating correctly.

Error counts are reset every time the gate closes to its reference point and the calculations are no longer effected.

G1_ENC_ERROR

  • 0-OK
  • 1-ERROR

Gate Overtorque

Indicates that the gate current has exceeded its maximum allowed value (which may mean that the gate is jammed or overloaded).

G1_OVTRQ

  • 0-OK
  • 1-OVERTORQUE

Gate SDB Comm Status

Indicates the status of communications between the RTU and the Solar Drive board

G1_SDB_COMM_STATUS

  • 0-OK
  • 1-FAIL

Gate SDB Fault

Indicates whether the Solar Drive board is operating correctly

G1_SDB_FAULT

  • 0-OK
  • 1-FAIL

Gate Commissioned

Indicates whether or not the gate position has been commissioned

G1_COMMISSION

  • 0-OK
  • 1-FAIL

Gate No Movement Detected

Alarm is triggered when the gate was expected to move, but no movement has taken place for ten seconds

G1_NO_MOVE

  • 0-OK
  • 1-FAIL

Gate Movement Direction Fail

Alarm is triggered when the gate is moving in the wrong direction

G1_MOVE_DIRN

  • 0-OK
  • 1-FAIL
Gate Reference Mark Raise This tag indicates that the gate has reached the upper travel limit

G1_RM_RAISE

Gate Reference Mark Lower This tag indicates that the gate has reached the lower travel limit

G1_RM_LOWE

Gate Settings

Field Description Tag

Gate Raising Travel Time

Time in seconds for which the gate has been raising since the Travel Time was last reset

G1_RAISE_TIM

Gate Lowering Travel Time

Time in seconds for which the gate has been lowering since the Travel Time was last reset

G1_LOWER_TIM

Gate Raising Movements

Number of times that the gate motor has started to raise the gate since the No of Movements was last reset.

The counts of raising and lowering movements are useful for reviewing controller behaviour.

G1_RAISE_CNT

Gate Lowering Movements

Number of times that the gate motor has started to lower the gate since the No of Movements was last reset

G1_LOWER_CNT

Gate Max Elevation

Maximum elevation of the gate with respect to the reference datum. Taken from the factory calibration.

G1_POS_MAX

Gate Min Elevation

Minimum elevation of the gate with respect to the reference datum. Taken from the factory calibration.

G1_POS_MIN

Max Motor Cur Last Move

Maximum current drawn by the gate motor the last time it ran

G1_MAX_MOT_CURR

Min Motor Cur Last Move

Minimum current drawn by the gate motor the last time it ran

G1_MIN_MOT_CURR

Gate Precision Elevation

Gate elevation in microns with respect to the Reference elevation datum

G1_PREC_ELEVN

Gate Battery Voltage

Voltage of the pedestal battery

G1_BATT_VOLT

Gate Solar Panel Voltage

Voltage in the solar panel which supplies the battery

G1_SOLAR_VOLTAGE

Gate Battery Temperature

Temperature of the pedestal battery

G1_BATTERY_TEMP

Gate Energy In

Energy supplied to the battery since 0:00 today

G1_ENERGY_IN

Gate Energy Out

Energy drawn from the battery since 0:00 today

G1_ENERGY_OUT

Gate Width

Inner width of the gate.

G1_GATE_WIDTH
Gate Radius

For a FlumeGate, the distance between the tip of the gate and the pivot point.

G1_RADIUS

Gate Serial No.

Serial number of the gate

G1_SERIAL_NO

Gate OOS Reset

Resets the Out of Service flag and any other clearable alarm flags that may have caused the out of service alarm. This includes the following:

  • Motor voltage disconnected
  • Overtorque retries
  • No gate movement retries
  • Wrong gate movement retries
  • BladeMeter encoder integrity errors

Note that some alarm conditions cannot be cleared by this method. If an alarm condition is still present or a flag is still set, the alarm will trigger again.

G1_RESET

Gate No of Movements Reset

Resets the Raising and Lowering Movements counters

G1_MOV_RES

Gate Travel Time Reset

Resets the Raising and Lowering Travel Time counters

G1_TT_RES

Gate Overshoot Status

Specifies whether the gate is configured to overshoot on opening movements. This is required for FlumeGates to maintain the correct cable tension.

It is enabled by default for FlumeGates and disabled for SlipGates and SlipMeters.
