Logging In and Out

You must be logged in to SCADAConnect Desktop to access any functions for your user role.

Only a logged in user can change setpoint values

Any changes you make while you are logged in are also saved to the system audit log which is useful for troubleshooting any issues.

It is good practice to log out before you close the application, however you will be automatically logged out if your session is idle for a long time.

The logging in and out process depends on the way that the application is configured. You may be prompted to log in when you start the application, or there may be a Log In/Out button provided on the toolbar or on the left of the SCADA screen.

To enter your log in details:

  • Click the Log In/Out button.At the log in screen, enter your username and four digit PIN

    or, if you are logging in with Windows Authentication,

  • Click OK to log in with your Windows username and password.

To log out:

  • Click the Log In/Out button. If you are logged in, you will be logged out immediately.
