Creating, Modifying, and Deleting Items

Many modules allow you to create, modify or delete items. The standard tool icons for these operations are:

Tool	Description
New	Create a new item.
Delete	Delete the selected item. Note that you may not be able to delete items that have dependencies, such as properties that have associated orders. Some other items, such as mail messages are stored permanently for auditing purposes and cannot be deleted. If an item can be deleted you will be prompted to confirm that you want to proceed with the deletion,
Modify	Select the item to be modified. Click the modify tool to enable any fields which are changeable.
Insert	Add new values or properties to an item. For example, add an authority to a party.
Remove	Remove values or properties from an item

Note

If auditing is enabled, you will be prompted to provide a reason for any changes that you make.
