Creating and Configuring an Accumulator
Create an accumulator to store the sum of any positive changes to the source tag.
Pre-requisites
Before you create the accumulator, create the following tags:
See Working with Tables and Tags for more information about creating tags.
Tag | Description |
---|---|
Count tag |
Holds the accumulated value. Create this tag in the SYSTEM table for the data source. |
Increment tag |
Holds the calculated incremental changes to the source tag value. Create this tag in the SYSTEM table for the data source. |
The source tag and the reset tag are located on the site RTU and are mirrored in the host database.
To create an accumulator for a source tag:
- Open the Tag Details form for the source tag. You can do this in the Site Tags module, or in the Data Sources module.
- On the Accumulator tab, enter the details of the Count Tag, the Increment Tag that you created above. If the RTU source tag can be reset, you can also enter the details of the Reset Tag. Use the Search tool to find the tags if necessary.
Note
You may need to click the Edit button at the bottom of the form to enable the tag fields.
- Click Save to save your changes.
