Controlling the Sequence of Alarm Actions
Setting the order of alarm actions
The order of alarm actions is controlled by the sequence number.
- Actions that are performed later have a higher sequence number.
- Actions that are performed simultaneously have the same sequence number.
Note
When you are creating a set of alarm actions, it is good practice to leave some sequence numbers free between alarm actions. This makes it easier to insert more alarm actions later.
Repeating events
By default, an alarm action is performed once. However you can set the number of repeats on an alarm action to perform it multiple times before proceeding to the next alarm action. To do this, set the Repeat Count for the alarm action.
Setting delay times
Introduce delays between successive repeats of an alarm action, and also between the current alarm action and the next action in the sequence by setting the alarm action Retry interval in seconds.
