About Alarm Periods
What are alarm periods used for?
Alarm periods are used to specify which set of alarm actions should be performed depending on when the alarm is triggered. In particular, they are used to distinguish between business hours, and non business-hours including after hours periods and public holidays.
Defining alarm periods
A default set of business hours periods is provided for each day in the week. You cannot delete these periods or define new business hours periods. What you can do is:
- Modify the existing business hours period for any day. Any times which are not defined as being within a business hours period is considered to be after hours.
- Add an after hours period on a specific day. For example, to define a public holiday.
