Finding Messages

Use the Messages search tool to filter the message list or to find specific messages. You can also use the search tool to retrieve acknowledged messages which are not displayed in the default message list.

To search for messages:

1. In the Messages module, click Search for Messages to open the Find Messages tool.
2. Enter your search criteria from the following options:

   Party Options

   Option	Description
   Source/Destination	Search either by sender (source) or recipient (destination) of the message
   All	Search for messages to or from all parties
   Party	Search for messages to or from a specific party. Use the Find Party tool to search for and select a party
   Role	Search for messages to or from parties with a specific role. For example, search for all messages to Planners.

   Message Class Options

   Option	Description
   All	Search for all message types
   Select	Search for a specific type of message. The options available depend on your system configuration but may include: Call Transfer - messages that are generated when calls are transferred from the IVR system. Object - messages attached to an object Order - messages attached to an order Party - messages attached to a party SCADA Tag - messages attached to a SCADA tag There are also classes of message that related to audited events including, for example, cancelled orders or meter readings entered by a customer.

   Date Options

   Option	Description
   After/Before	Search for messages before or after a specified date.

   Message Detail Options

   Option	Description
   Type	Search for all messages, text messages or voice messages
   Acknowledgement	Search for all messages, only acknowledged messages or only unacknowledged messages.
   Expiry	Search for all messages, only expired messages or only unexpired messages

3. Click Find to run the search. Your search results will appear on the Search Results tab.
