Splitting a Meter Reading

You can split a meter reading for unplanned, metered outlets that are shared between two or more properties. Readings for these shared outlets are highlighted in green in the meter reading entry table.

Allocate a proportion of the reading to each property that shares the outlet.

To split a meter reading:

1. Enter the meter reading details as usual. See Entering a Meter Reading for details.
2. Click the Split Meter Reading button to the right of the entry to open the Split Usage screen. This button only appears if the outlet is shared.
3. Enter the Usage for each account. The Entitlement Remaining and the Metered Usage are provided for your reference.
4. Click Save to save your changes.
5. Click Accept. This adds the meter reading to the entries table.
6. Click Save to save the entries and adjust them as required. See Correcting, Accepting and Adjusting Meter Readings for details.
