Managing Spill Allocations
A spill allocation is a type of off-quota allocation applied to a planning area or group that is consumed during a spill entitlement period. See Managing Off-Allocation (aka Off-Quota) Periods for more information about off-quota periods in general.
If you designate a spill entitlement period, any water supplied to an authorisation during that period is tallied against its Spillage Sales attribute. The maximum amount of water that can be supplied as spill during a period is set in the Maximum Spillage Usage ML attribute for the planning area or group.
To create a spill allocation
- In the Planning Groups or Planning Areas module, select the planning group or area.
- On the Attributes tab, select the Maximum Spillage Usage ML attribute and click Modify.
- Enter the total spillage allowed for the season and click Save.
