Correcting a Rating Table and Recalculating Data

Correct a rating table when you want to make changes to the equation or data points that can be applied retrospectively. Correcting a rating table automatically retires the original rating table and replaces it with a corrected copy with the same start and end dates.

Note

If the historical data is correct and does not need to be recalculated, but you want to start using a new rating table, you should replace the old rating table rather than retiring it.

To correct and retire a rating table:

  1. In the Rating Tables module, select the rating table that you want to change.
  2. Make whatever corrections necessary to the rating table. For example:
    • On the Details tab, click Edit to change the rating equation, rating points, or interpolation method.
    • On the Points tab, Insert, Modify, or Delete data points, or Import new points from a spreadsheet.
  3. Click Recalculate Tag Events to apply the changes to your historical data.
    • Specify the date range for the recalculation and click Find
    • Check the recalculated data. If you are happy with the recalculation, click Save to save your changes and update the data.

Viewing the retired rating table

The retired rating table is displayed in the Rating Tables module with an asterisk(*) beside the date range, and is listed on the Revisions tab of the rating table that followed it.
