The Reason Type module is where you can manage the set of reasons that can be used when the system prompts for an explanation of an action. Use the Reason Type module to control what reasons are available for a reason type.
What is a reason type?
A reason type is a collection of reasons to choose as a response to a specific question. For example, an AUDIT reason type contains a set of reasons that you can select when you are prompted to explain why you made changes to data.
Providing a meaningful set of reasons makes it easier to analyze and report system changes.
