Creating an Object Attribute Table Paragraph
Use this report component to create a table based on an object type. Each row of the table displays attribute values for an individual object.
An Object Attribute table paragraph consists of a Data table (defined on the Data tab) which is used to extract data from the database, and a report table (defined on the Table tab) which is used to present the data.
Object Attribute Table parameters
This parameter is added to the report automatically for every Object AttributeTable paragraph:
- Area/Group - sets the parent area or group for the objects.
To create an Object Attribute Table:
- Click New Paragraph to open the Add Paragraph dialog and choose Object Attribute Table. The New Object Attribute Table screen opens
- On the General tab, enter a name for the paragraph. This will identify the paragraph in the report structure pane.
- On the Data tab, select the Object Type for the table.
- Select the checkboxes for any attribute values that you want to display in the table.
The object name and type are added by default.
Note
The attributes listed are those that apply to the object type you selected. If you chose to include object sub-types, any attributes that apply only to a sub-type cannot be displayed in the report.
- Click the Bind Data button. This binds the columns in your data table to columns in the report table.
- On the Table tab, make any changes you need to your report table. See Working with Report Tables and Columns for more information.
- Click OK to save your changes.
