Creating a Report Header

Specify the content and layout of the report header.

To create the report header:

A report header is automatically added to a new report when it is created.

  1. In the Report Editor, open the report that you want to work with and select the header in the list of report sections.
  2. Click Modify to open the Header Properties screen.
  3. On the Header tab, Set the following properties:

    Report Logo

    Click the button to select an image file to use as a report logo, and set the logo position.

    Header 1

    Enter heading text. By default, this is the report description.

    Click the Format button to set the font properties and heading alignment.

    Header 2

    Enter sub-heading text and format it as for the heading.

    Print Timestamp

    Print the time when the report was generated on the report header.

    Print Horizontal Line

    Print a horizontal line between the header and the body.

    Use Default Header Fonts

    Use the default font settings for the heading and sub-heading. If you select this, you cannot set the font or position properties of the header or change the header height.

    Header Height

    Sets the distance between the top of the report and the start of the report body.

  4. Click OK to save your changes.
