Exporting Tag Data from a Trend Group

When you save a trend group, the trended data is NOT saved. The data is retrieved from the database next time you open the trend group. However, you can export the data displayed for a trend group to a spreadsheet (csv) file.

To save trended data in a spreadsheet:

1. In the Trending tool, open the trend group that you want to export.
2. Click Trend Detail to open the Trend Parts Manager.
3. Click Expt to choose what data to export. The options are:
   • Selected - to export the data for the selected tag
   • All - to export all the trend group data.
4. Choose a file name and location for the exported data and click Save to save the file.

   Note

   In the exported file, the timestamp data is stored in one column and the data for each tag in a separate column. Each tag dataset also has a unique sequence number.

5. Click Close to close the Trend Parts Manager.
