Adding a Special Charge to an Account

Add a special charge to an account to apply a charge type to a selected account only, or to modify the settings for a charge type for the selected account.

Special charges will override the standard charge type settings when account items are calculated for the account.

Find accounts with special charges applied by using the Search tool in the Accounts module.

To add a special charge to an account:

  1. Click Accounts to open the Accounts module.
  2. Select the account to which you want to add a special charge.
  3. On the Special Charges tab, click Insert to add a special charge.
  4. Enter the following details:
    PropertyDescription

    Date Effective

    Date from which this charge is valid.

    Charge

    Choose which charge to use for this special charge

    Quantity

    If you are using a variable charge type, enter the quantity for this charge

    Amount

    Enter a charge amount for this account.

  5. Click Save to save your changes.
