Finding a Party

To find a party:

If you need to select a party, you can use the Find Party tool.

  1. Click Find party to open the Find Party screen.
  2. Choose your search method from the following options:
    • All - display all parties
    • Name - search by the surname, given name or preferred name by entering a name, or part of a name into any of the search criteria fields.
    • Role - find parties with a specific role
    • Party Logins - search using a field that is used to log in such as Customer Number, User Name, or User Number (you can search using any of these fields regardless of what is configured for logging in).
    • Contact Details - search using a field from the party's contact details such as phone numbers, email etc. Specify the field that you want to use in the Criteria section.
    • Area/Group - find parties who have a role associated with an area or group. For example, find parties who are OWNERS of a property in an area.
    • Type - restrict the search to individuals or group parties
    • Account - find parties who have user accounts for specified authentication groups, or search by properties of the user password. See Managing Passwords for more details.
  3. Select the Include Retired checkbox if you want to list retired parties in the search results.
  4. Enter any detailed search criteria in the Criteria section. The details required will depend on the search type you have chosen. For example, if you are searching by name, you will have the option to specify the party's surname, preferred name or given name.

Search matching options

When you are matching a text field, you can choose to match using the following options:

The result includes the search term
