Generating WaterML Dataset Extracts

Create one-off dataset extracts in WaterML format.

To create a dataset extract:

1. Click WaterML Datasets to open the WaterML Datasets module.
2. Select the dataset from which you want to extract data
3. Click Generate/Schedule WaterML Dataset Extract and complete the following details:

   Property	Description
   Start/End Date	Specify the start and end date of the period for which you want to extract data. If you leave the Start Date blank, it defaults to the End Date of the previous Transferred extract. If you leave the End Date blank, it defaults to the current date.
   Include Transfer	Select this checkbox to automatically transfer the extract to the recipient after extraction.
   Generate As	Specify the format in which to publish the status report
   Preview	Generate a data extract file on the local machine. The extracted file is stored in the /temp/rubicon/spool folder. When an extract is scheduled, the process runs on the application server.
   Publish Status	Optionally send or print a notification of the extract status. You can send a notification whatever the status, or only if there is an error.
   Party and Email/Printer	If you are emailing or printing a status notification, specify the email recipient or the printer to use.

4. Click Run Now to create the extract, or click Schedule to schedule regular extracts. See Scheduling WaterML Dataset Extracts for details.
