Channel Flow Inaccuracy Report
Report Description
The Channel Flow Inaccuracy report calculates the water balance for all regulators in the report area. It measures the efficiency of the channel by listing the absolute difference between total volume inflow and the outflow, and the percentage of the total inflow volume supplied for orders. You can filter the pools included in the report by pool efficiency, and by the gap between inflow and outflow.
This report is based on the Channel Section Efficiency Report, but with filters applied to the gap and the efficiency to highlight anomalies due to large losses or to measurement inaccuracies.
Report Parameters and Options
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
Area/Regulator |
Select either an area, or a specific regulator.
|
Start/End Date |
Choose a date range for the report. |
Efficiency Threshold |
This is a filter parameter to specify an efficiency threshold. Pools will be listed if their efficiency is less than: 100 - efficiency threshold For example, if the efficiency threshold is 10, then only pools with an efficiency of less than 90% will be listed. |
Gap Threshold |
This is a filter parameter to show only pools for which the gap (the difference between inflow and outflow) is greater than the specified threshold. |
Report Output
Property | Description |
---|---|
Channel |
Channel name |
Pool's U/S Regulators |
Upstream regulator (that is, the inflow regulator) for this pool |
Type |
Site type of upstream regulator |
Inflow (ML) |
Total volume of water that flowed into this pool for the period. This includes water supplied through the upstream regulator and any water flowing in from side channels. |
Main Passing Flow (ML) |
Total volume of water that flowed out of the pool through the next regulator downstream in the channel. |
Spur Passing Flow (ML) |
Total volume of water that flowed out of the pool through spur channels. |
Outfalls (ML) |
Total volume of water that flowed out of the pool through outfalls. |
Metered Deliveries (ML) |
Volume delivered to outlets as measured by meter readings |
Estimated Deliveries (ML) |
Volume delivered to outlets without meter readings. This may be estimated in two ways:
The estimate will be based on order data unless the outlet type is specified in the Object Type SCADA Volume parameter. See Calculating the Estimated Delivery Volume for details. |
Total Deliveries (ML) |
Sum of metered and estimated deliveries. |
Gap (ML) |
Difference between the total Inflow and the Total Deliveries. Inflow - Total Deliveries |
Pool Efficiency % |
Total Deliveries as a percentage of the total Inflow. (Total Deliveries / Inflow) x 100 |
Drown Count |
Number of times that the drown alarm was triggered. |
USL Discrepancy Count |
Number of times that the upstream level discrepancy alarm was triggered. |
