Receiving a Message

Messages sent to you will appear in your Inbox. If there are unacknowledged messages in your Inbox, the Messages window will pop up as soon as you log in to your Rubicon application.

If you are a planner, your inbox will include any messages sent to the planner for whatever planning area or group you have logged in to. For example, it will include messages that customers have added when lodging orders for your planning area.

To read a message in your Inbox:

Select the message. The message text is displayed in the Message Details panel below the list of messages.

To listen to a voice message in your Inbox:

Select the message. You can now do one of the following:

  • Click Play on Speakers to play the selected message on your PC speakers. The Message Playback window opens where you can play the audio file.
  • Click Play Selection with IVR or Play All with IVR to play either the selected message or all voice messages in your Inbox via IVR. The Messaging tool will prompt you for a contact number to call and will play your selection using your phone.

To reply to a message:

Select the message and click Reply. The Message Create window pops up for you to enter your reply. When you have entered your reply, click Send to send the message. See Sending a Message for more details.

To acknowledge a message:

Select the message and click Acknowledge. Click Yes to confirm that you want to acknowledge the message. You can select and acknowledge one or many messages.

Note

When a message has been acknowledged, or has expired, it is removed from your Inbox. You can view these messages by searching for them.
