Working with Modules

A module is part of the application that manages a specific function. Rubicon supplies a variety of modules depending on the functionality that you require.

Example:

The Parties module is where you can create new users and configure their access to the system.

I Can't Find a Module or Feature

If you can't find a module or feature that is mentioned in the Help, this may be for one or more of the following reasons:

Your organization has not implemented that module, or the module is not part of the application you are using

Example:

If you are not using the Crops functionality in an application, you will not see the Crops module, or the Crops tab in the Properties module.

You are logged in with a role that does not give you access to that module.

Example:

Some roles do not have access to the Report Editor module.

Check with your System Administrator if you think you should have access to a missing feature.

Your organisation has changed the module name.

Example:

The documentation refers to the Properties module, but your organisation may call this the Water Accounts module.

This is especially common for modules that manage network objects, because water network terminology varies from region to region. The table below lists common synonyms for network objects used in the application interface. Modules and forms in your organisation may use these synonyms rather than the base name.
