Editing Multiple Attribute Values
Use the Attribute Editor > Multi-Value Editor to set an attribute to the same value for many objects at once.
Note: |
You can select any attribute in the Attribute Editor, but not all attributes will be editable. Only attributes whose type is set to Enterable can be edited. |
---|
Example: |
Use this tool to reset a date attribute to the current date on multiple objects at once. |
---|
To edit multiple attribute values:
- Click
Attribute Editor to open the Attribute Editor module.
- On the Multi-Value Editor tab, click
Find Values to open the Find Objects tool.
- Use the Find tool to specify the object types and attribute that you want to edit and click Find to load the objects.
- Select the rows that you want to edit. You can select with the mouse as usual, or use the Selection buttons at the bottom right of the screen:
- Select All - selects every row
- Value Rows - selects every row where the attribute value is set
- Blank Rows - selects every row where the attribute value is not set
- Select None - de-selects every row
- With your rows selected, click
Modify Selected to open the Multi-value editor popup. This displays the number of rows that will be changed.
- Enter the new attribute value and (optionally) the effective date. If you do not set the date, it defaults to the current date and time.
- Click Save to save your changes.
