Working with Tables and Tags
Creating Tables and Tags by copying and pasting
You can quickly create tags, tables and RTUs by copying and pasting from similar items. Reconfigure any links to sites after a tag has been created.
Viewing tag details
Use the Data Sources module to view the following details of tables and tags:
Configuring Tables
- Configure the scan rate for a table to control how frequently it is read.
- Create new rows and columns for a table.

Create custom tags for storing calculated data in the site's SYSTEM table which is only stored in the database.
These are the steps required to create and configure a new custom tag in the SYSTEM table:

- Configure tag alarm values to specify what tag values are within the normal range, and which should trigger an alarm.
- (Optional) Set any scaling properties for the tag value.
- (Optional) Create a tag expression for a calculated tag.
- (Optional) Specify settings for an accumulator tag.
- (Optional) Set up rating tables to calculate tag values.
- (Optional) Set up a data transfer to read data from one database and store it in another.
