Account Management

This section describes how to use the new account management features in Rubicon applications. These include restricted access to the Parties module, a new Authentication Log Module, and a new Auth Groups Module.

These modules are both located in the new User Management category.

User accounts and authentication groups

An Authentication Group is a group of Rubicon applications that use the same security policy and passwords.

An Account belongs to a party and defines the authentication groups to which the party belongs. Add an authentication group to a party's account to give the party log in access to the applications in the group.

Role-based restrictions on changing party details

Account Management introduces new role based restrictions on editing the details of other users. These restrictions are controlled on the Sub-Role Privileges tab of the Roles module and apply to roles which have Privilege Checking enabled.

See Working with Sub-Role Privileges for more details.
