Adding a Sub-Table to a Network Table

A sub-table is another way of displaying the same information that you can display in a Network table. If you display information in a sub-table, a copy of the subtable is displayed in a single column for each row of the main table. The parent object of the main table row is the parent object of the sub-table.

Example: Here are two tables displaying the same information:
ABCDEF

a1

b1

c1

d1

e1

f1

a2

b2

c2

Network table with a sub-table

To add a sub-table to a Network Table:

  1. On the Network Sub-Table Tab, click Add to create a sub-table. The Network Sub-Table Properties screen opens.
  2. Create a data table and a display table in the same way as for the main table. See Creating a Network Table Paragraph.
  3. Click OK to save your changes.

When you bind the data in the main data table, a new column is created in the report table for each sub-table.
