Creating and Loading a Trend Group
You can save a set of regulators and outlets as a named trend group and load them into the flow histogram whenever you need them. This topic explains how to create a trend group in the Planning Schematic, but you can also create a group in the DMS Trend Groups module. See Creating a Trend Group for details.
To create a trend group:
- Select an object (such as a regulator) that you want to add to the group.
- Right-click on the object and choose Histogram to load the flow histogram for the object.
- Continue adding new objects to new histogram tabs.
- When you have added all the group objects, choose Graph > Save Trending Group from the histogram menu.
- Enter a name for the group and click Save to save your changes.
To open a trend group:
Note
Opening too many histograms may affect system performance. Consider closing any tabs that you don't need.
- In the Planning Schematic, open the Flow Histogram by choosing an outlet or a regulator and choosing Histogram from the right-click shortcut menu.
- From the Histogram main menu, choose Graph > Open Trending Group and select the group to open. The group opens as a set of tabs along the top of the histogram.
Note
Use the tabs at the bottom of the histogram to switch between the trend group tabs and any ad hoc trends that you have opened directly from the Planning Schematic.
