Creating a Trend Group

This topic explains how to create a trend group in the Trend Groups module. You can also create trend groups in the Planning Schematic. See Creating and Loading a Trend Group for details.

To create a trend group in the Trend Groups module:

Create the trend group

  1. Click Trend Groups to open the Trend Groups module.
  2. Click Add to create a new trend group.
  3. Enter a name for the group and click Save to save your changes.

Add components to the group

  1. On the Components tab, click Edit to manage the group components.
  2. Use the Add, Remove and Modify tools to build a set of network objects.
  3. (Optional) Specify a sequence number for each object. This will control the order in which the histogram tabs are displayed.
  4. Click Save to save your changes.

Specify the planning areas or groups for which the trend group can be used

  1. On the Areas/Groups tab, click Insert to add a relationship with a Planning Area or Group
  2. Specify the area or group to add.
  3. Click Save to save your changes.

This adds an authority for all planners to use the trend group in that planning area or group.
