Alarm Shelving Report

Report Description

The Alarm Shelving report shows any alarms for a specified tag and site that have been shelved over the selected period, or any alarms that are currently shelved and will expire at a specified time.

What is Alarm Shelving?

Shelving is a feature that can be configured to be available in the SCADAConnect Desktop Alarm List. It is not enabled by default.

Shelving is a way of suppressing alarm actions for a tag. You can shelve alarms for any tag for a specified period after which the shelving will expire.

Example

You might shelve alarms if you know that the site is undergoing maintenance and you don't want to be bothered by excessive alarm notifications.

The alarms will still be triggered while they are shelved, but no alarm actions will be performed - for example, no alarm notifications will be sent. When the alarms are unshelved or expire, alarm actions will recommence.

See the SCADAConnect Desktop Online Help for more information.
