Deleting and Removing Network Objects

Caution

The Network Editor automatically saves any changes that you make. There is no UNDO function, so take care when making changes to the network schematic, and particularly when deleting objects.

Deleting an object removes it from the network and from the host database. You can delete objects from the network provided that they don't have any other associations or network connections that would be affected. This means that you may have to disconnect objects before you can delete them. See Disconnecting Objects for more details of how to disconnect network objects.

Properties can be removed or deleted. Removing a property removes it from the network and the schematic but does not delete the property from the host database.

Example

You might remove a property from the network if it is no longer used, but you cannot delete it because there are historical orders recorded for the property in the database.

This table shows the main constraints on deleting or removing objects from the network.
