Creating an Object

Some objects can be created in the Objects module, but node objects must be created in the Network Editor because their relationship to the network must be defined when they are created. An error message is displayed if you try to create an object that cannot be created in the Objects module.

To create an object in the Objects module:

1. Click Objects to open the Objects module.
2. Click Add to create a new object.
3. On the Object module > Details tab, enter a Name for the object, and select the Object Type from the drop-down control.
4. Click Save to save your changes.

You can now do the following:

• Configure object attributes
• Assign authorities for objects
• Set up object relationships
