Working with Object Attributes

What attributes can an object have?

An object can have any attributes that have been associated with its object type, either directly, or through a parent object type.

Setting object attributes

You can set object attributes in the Objects module provided the attribute is configured to be editable.

To change the value of an attribute:

In the Attributes tab, select the attribute and click the Modify button. Enter the new attribute value. The effective date defaults to the current date and time but you can set it to a future time if you wish.

Viewing object attribute history

You can view attribute history for a selected object if the attribute has been configured to record history data.

To view or modify the history of an attribute:

In the Attributes tab, select the attribute and click the History button. You can use this screen to Delete any history values.
